Job Duties

1. Experience performing audits of design output, relying on Incoming Quality Plans (IQPs), Production Tickets, Quality Standards and Final Inspection Criteria to reconcile it with design input;

2. Preparing sketches, creating and recommending design specifications and final presentation renderings using design related 2D & 3D CAD software to generate designs and supporting data, and selecting materials, developing material specification sheets, and collaborating to develop prototypes and final product;

3. Leading the development and communication of design, color, components and other material palettes, including completion of New Material Analyses and MRP requests;

4. Communicate with international manufacturing and producing partners regarding the details, materials requirements, technical requirements of the production and price negotiation;

5. Constant follow up with manufacturers on product update and sample requests;

6. Research industry trends for design inspiration and offer trend and market analysis and innovation ideas;

7. Ensure the product meets the cost from the brief and cost breakdown sheet is accurate producing “Total visibility” of cost and process with all business partners;

8. Assist in presenting the product line to buyers and planners at buy meetings

9. Align conceptual ideas into aesthetical products and user experiences;

10. Lead design intent from concept through mass production with cross functional teams including; research, marketing, product management and external vendors. Understanding and rationalizing feedback and issues from these teams as they arise.
