My review of Phantom Lives–Collier

As promised earlier this week, I'm back with my review of Phantom Lives–Collier by talented author, Elizabeth Loraine.

Blurb:

Abigail Black, an heiress from Memphis is on the run from her abusive boyfriend, Dallas. In the process she finds out that there she is being pulled towards something, and someone, that she thought only existed in her dreams.

My Review:

I believe, in our life, there is that one special place or person that captures us from the moment we see them.  Abigail Black, escaping an abusive boyfriend, knows such a feeling.  I can't blame her, though; a plantation house usually tends to whisk the breath from me the moment I stare at the grand pillars, and imagine the lives shaped by the shadows of the structure.

Abbi's a wise girl and fortunately well off—and she buys Collier mansion.  The lure of the building calls to her, constantly drawing her more into its silken embrace, which escalates when she decides to restore the place.

Now, anyone that's ever watched or read anything about the paranormal knows, restoration can often stir up the spirit world…

Past lives, destiny, and ghosts…my favorite ingredient for a stellar novel!  The characters of this novel clutched at my heart, and stole my breath away.  Collier was a home I would love to visit—as fascinating as the Deep South and as mysterious as they come.  Intrigue spills from each page and I couldn't put the novel down, afraid that I would miss some vital piece of information from this well-written plot.

I can't wait for Elizabeth Loraine's next masterpiece and more of the Phantom Lives Series.

4 stars
