MaryAlice Do not know how old (young?) I was when I organized my 45RPM record collection ~ the majority of tunes I purchased were Tamla, Gordy, Motown, Soul ~ or I thank Berry Gordy for countless hours of listening (and dancing) pleasure.

That count did not include the albums.

It was the Temptation's Psychedelic Shack that moved me a new direction ~ I did not care for that new FM radio 'hippie' music that was finding its way onto my most listened to AM radio stations.

Since then I have been exposed to music from many cultures, and even learned to appreciate the sounds I once shunned. It seems to me it would be a much better world if sounds from many cultures "sold" ~ not just to make others famous or wealthy ~ but to make citizens of the world richer for the experience of knowing different sounds and cultures.
