What do you believe are the driving forces and meaning of subjugation?

I have to divide this post into three parts. First is the benefit of subjugation of women to men, second is the ongoing deep effect on women and then there is the fact of culture. And again I have to point out that these posts are thought documents and certainly not research vehicles or repositories.

soda It's despicable in this day and age that when I say the same things you did in your blog I'm still called a feminazi/man hater. I remember the days where men wanted strong, independent women. It seems we've gone backward in time. I'm saddened when I hear things like "women are natural enemies", when it is less nature and more nurture than people realize. It seems I am the only one that notices things like the more independent women become, the more rape is in tv shows, movies, books, etc. and that no one realizes it's a direct retaliation to our rights.

I'm more saddened by the fact that women will have a natural sisterhood and agree with everything I've said - until a man walks into the room. Then all of a sudden it's about seeking his approval - because that's what women were conditioned to do. Me being the "anomaly" that resists the indoctrination leads a very frustrating life of seeing the truth. It's tough to have real women friends and men (for the most part) aren't strong enough to be OK with someone like me. They want the submissive girl, the one that's high maintenance and chases money (even though they pretend to hate that kind of girl), the one that will give up everything for him, i.e. the low hanging fruit.

Roger Burt I agree there is something really wrong and the Weinstein scandal is shattering. For years such little reaction in Hollywood! This really must change. I'm not going to start a new blog thread just before the holidays when everything seems to drop off the radar. But then I'm going to have to pose a challenge to my male "brothers". Enough! It's not up to women to force an end to this. Men have to start examining themselves and their culture.
