Sketchbook: Issey Miyake and Irving Penn

In 2009, Issey Miyake asked me to collaborate with Midori Kitamura and Pascal Roulin on an animated film about his long, creative relationship with Irving Penn—the subject of an exhibition that just opened in Tokyo. It was my pleasure and honor to provide two dozen sketches for Pascal to animate. This is a clip from the full-length, ten-minute film, "Irving Penn and Issey Miyake: Visual Dialogue."
