What are the lame things some Indians do to appear cool?
Inglish Culture rant (No typos) : India is transforming to En-dia faster than expected. Our people may not know about Diwali but are updated about Halloween (By the way what is that ?). Young generation is proudly attached to English songs (may be peer pressure). I can never understand the logic of ‘how Justin Bieber is better but Honey Singh is not.’
Hindi words in English conversation : Earlier we used to have a ‘bit’ of English in our conversation , like ‘station’ or ‘Train’ as Hindi counterparts were quite difficult to pronounce.Now we have exactly the opposite. I met a guy who was very ‘Seedha’. ‘Pakka’ I will meet you today.Huh…
I don’t oppose any language or culture. But I use it as a skill and as and when required. I do love Shakespeare but I have also read ‘Premchand’ (Don’t ask ‘who Premchand’). Mother always comes first. Aunt is always second.
I suspect that after 20 years we will make those people celebrity who can speak ‘Shudh Hindi’. I endorse English as outer clothes and not as blood flowing in your veins. You can change Hindi to your respective mother tongue.
# Relationship Goals # Squad Goals #Heartburn Times : We don’t really love those people that much (from whom we are going to have future break up in next six months). This is just peer pressure to show off and fight #Jealousy issues. Same with squads or whatever. The show off is just too much. Trading likes for likes is also a hollow game extended to maintain and extend #Social Image.
Too much ‘pea-cocking’ : Males in general and females in particular are too much into pea-cocking mode. Those Instagram dog filters or ear piercing or beard look, all look too pale and attention grabbing. Again I am not against anyone of them, but every thing is NOT for every one. It must suit your persona and general personality.
Shirt less selfies and PDA pics : Some times a shirt less selfie is fine if you have nice body. But every second day, its boring. It just sends a signal ‘Dude do you have any thing else to show off or it is all you have ?’ Same with PDA pics of hugging, kissing and smooching , publicly. Do it, but not on Instagram or FB but on Snap chat or Whats App. I looooveeee youuuuu sooooo mooooch….. fine…but a ‘bit’ privately.
Booze, smoke,party,fast bikes,useless fashion etc. :Every thing is fine if you do it in limits and in moderation. Your purpose is to let people know and not ‘show’ people about your personal life.People having boring days with nothing to do or show are often more adept in proving about their ‘hot’ social life. If I am happy and happening, I am. There is no need of validation and show off.
