I am prefacing this review with a warning for those that read this book - It's not for everybody!!! To tell the truth it wasn't really for me. I mean, I was freaking out...I lost some nails from biting them all off and shedded some hair. If you're going into this book thinking you'll come out unscathed - think again. The only thing I could think while reading this book was the true story of Adam Walsh and when he disappeared. I was 5 year-old and my mother wouldn't let me out of her sight...I'm 40 now and she read this book to write the review and had to step away and go..."I can't...it brings too many memories back." If a book can evoke those kind of feelings in a reader - then you've done your job. I picked up where she stopped and let me tell you, the authors outdid themselves. I was actually questioning whether psychologically they're right in the head lol.

Niko has spent 15 years looking for his friend, Aislin who disappeared without a trace. He became a detective and a darn good one, all in the hope that it would lead to him finding her. He does find her, just not where he wanted to...in a cold, damp, unearthed grave with torture marking her body. Not long after that another girl shows up and now Niko knows they're interconnected and he's not going to stop until the killer/rapist is found. 

What follows are several points of view. Some are horrifying and I'll warn you now -  they are explicit and uncomfortable. Some, I skipped over because is was just too much for me. I can read a psychological thriller, but I can't do the "explicitly so detailed that it makes you sick to your stomach" sort of books. So, those parts I went gently over. Overall, it was well-written and well thought out and they got the part of creepy psycho down to an art form! Just don't read if your under 18 would be my suggestion.
