I love Harper Sloan and I love the Corps Security series...so this series was a little different for me. It had the Alpha make but it had a BDSM quality to it. Shane and Nikki were good characters in the other books, but I struggled with their characters in this book. It was almost like they weren't true to themselves in this. I really felt no backstory on this. Nikki has some weird Tourettes going on with her cute saying but otherwise I was left scratching my head. I loved and what saved everything was seeing Maddox and everyone else. Gosh, I miss them all!! For that it was 4 stars to just see Axel. So if you're a fan you'll get this definitely!! If you're starting out...then start at the beginning.
