Want to Be a Beta Reader?
Hi all!
I’m working on a few projects and starting in October, I’ll be needing beta readers. What’s a beta reader? It’s a reader who reviews works for an author in advance of its release to help find errors, such as grammar, spelling and typo issues. They also point out things that will help improve the plot, characters, setting, etc. Basically, anything that sticks out to them that might need improvement.
I use beta readers as my first readers, after I’ve gotten the story as good as I can get it. Then after implementing suggestions from my betas, I send it to an editor for final revisions. I absolutely adore those who have served as my betas for previous works and I appreciate their time and support.

My current projects include:
Updating THE CONSUMING. I’m adding at least double the words on this paranormal romance about a haunted house. The first edition was 14,000 words. I’m turning it into a novella length work. I’ve gotten great reviews for it and it has won an award, but I have never personally been happy with the ending. So I’m adding to it.
I’m also working on the second book in the SURVIVAL zombie apocalypse series, DEAD OF WINTER, as well as two vignettes from the series, JENNY’S STORY, and QUINNELL AND PEARL’S STORY.
If you have kids 10-15, I’m writing a middle grade book that needs not only adult beta readers, but kids too. THE PARANORMAL COUSINS is a fantasy series about kids with supernatural abilities. You can sign up, read it, and if you feel it appropriate for your child, you can hand it off to them to read and then pass on their thoughts to me.
Next year, i’ll be continuing the SURVIVAL series and starting work on a Young Adult Urban Fantasy series as well – THE GEMINI PROPHECY.
