This toad appeared in my backyard last week, sitting right by the door every night without fail. I was worried he was trapped by the fence and that the dogs would get him, but tonight I realized that he’s using the porch light to lure bugs for him to catch. We’re friends now. His name is Mervin.
I hadn’t seen Mervin in a while and I was feeling a bit worried about his well-being, but he made an appearance last night! He is growing.
