Ode to Elephants

My favorite animal is an elephant. I don’t really know why. Maybe because elephants are said to remember. I would like to be a person that remembers the good and the bad, the pleasant and the painful.

Maybe it is because elephants are said to be wise, and they can find the deep waters in the desert. I would like to be wise; I would like to dig deep into my hard times and find a lesson.

Maybe it is because elephants are said to be loyal. I would like to be a loyal person, and always be there for the people I love. What is your favorite animal? Why?
