July 2, 2017: Typing Assignment #2

After posting Typing Assignment #1, I watched the video about Assignment #2, and realized that the deadline for it was today.  After watching the video and visiting Joe Van Cleave’s Blog page “Typing Assignment #2,” it was back to work.

The assignment is to “write a one-page essay on what you find unique and/or valuable about using typewriters as writing tools.”  For this, I hammered out a rough draft on the Royal Quiet De Luxe, then polished it on the Olivetti Lettera 22.  Below is my submission.
