Okay, so this is one of my paintings- originally, I thought about the poet Lucille Clifton, and I hoped she was dancing in heaven.
Then I thought, this was sort of the way I felt when I was writing and the work was good- and maybe this was the way all writers feel when they are writing.
The layered colors and patterns reflect the complexity of women's bodies, so for now I'll just call this painting 'women writing.'
