How would you recommend fighting the feelings of inadequacy that come from writing something fun, as opposed to someone Deep and Serious?

I don’t feel inadequate when I write things that are fun. Mostly I feel proud, because it’s much harder to write a joke that works than it is to write a profoundly beautiful sentence.

Fun is not the opposite of Deep and Serious. 

Fun can be Deep. It often is.

Fun can be Serious.
