They teach me the Cases on the street again

Привет,

I had to do some boring computer work this morning but the sunny weather changed my plans.

I grabbed my book Какой падеж? Какой предлог? (Which Case – Which Preposition) and started reading outside.

Russian Cases are not easy you know. I decided to ask people to help me.

Я насласжаюсь катанием на коньках. – I enjoy ice-skating.

Мы обрадовались приходу зимы. – We were delighted with the arrival of winter.

У мальчика появился интерес к шахматам. – The boy got interested in chess.

Мой друг увлекается лыжным спортом. – My friend enjoys (spends time on) skiing.

В нашей стране можно заниматься зимними видами спорта. – In my country you can practice winter sports (winter types of sport).

Он много работал и добился успеха. – He worked a lot and got success (добиться – achieve, accomplish, gain).

Полиглот – человек который владеет многими языками. – Polyglot is someone who has lots of languages under his belt.

Сын похож на кинозвезду. – The son looks like a movie star.

В парке мы любовались цветами. – We enjoyed the flowers in the park.
