soda I truly love that you are man enough to confront these problems. I constantly hear men berate other men and tell them to "man up" or "grow a pair" if men speak out against gender inequalities. It's clearly projection, as those who are doing the berating are being called out on their own chauvinism (and they don't like being called out).

Heaven forbid a woman isn't kneeling at a man's feet looking up at him through fluttering yet adoring eyelashes. Apparently me stating how sexist these ideas are (and the ...ahem, " romance books" that promote this outs me as a man hater. Who knew? *coughsarcasm*

Roger Burt The more I see what's happening, the more I feel outrage at the shortsightedness in regard to empowering women. And it is not an idle theme in my Gaia's Majesty Trilogy that women may be crucial to a future transformation. I'm getting some criticism for the role of some of the women warriors in the first book who work undercover as consorts of the greedy power hungry men. Yes, that's often their role but their role expands hugely over the series. In all, I'm fascinated about the potential for what is to come as the place of women is enhanced.
