Up vote depends on followers. These are people who like to read the answers and writing style of writer.
Quora algorithms favor established writers.
Writers personality does have effect on up votes.
Quora shows answers based on liking of users. Established writers are more influential in affecting the automatic algorithms. Quora shows more of writer’s answers to people who have liked their content any time before. Thus previous history too helps any writer to get more views and appreciation.
This effect is known as Mathew’s effect in psychology.
