What is an entrepreneur? - 1/101 Entrepreneur Questions and Answers

This is an except from my book: 101 Entrepreneur Questions and Answers.I personally used to believe that entrepreneurship was about connecting the dots and getting a product from person X to person Y. This was a rather limited understanding of entrepreneurship as it was looking at it from a purely economic stand point. This description is indeed accurate, but only explains and reveals part of what an entrepreneur is.An entrepreneur solves problems for other people by connecting the dots.An entrepreneur identifies problem(s) that society has that he, or she, knows that they can solve. When people have more problems than money, then they are willing to pay other people (you) to solve their problems for them. If someone needs shoes and does not have them, then an entrepreneur can provide them shoes and thus become rich. Understand this: as you help people get what they want, they'll give you what you want: money, reputation or fame. You have to give before you can receive.Question of the day: Are you an entrepreneur?  What do you think makes an entrepreneur?
