Revamps all round

Just a very quick post to report that my website is being revamped. I'll be adding more to it over time, but it's looking swell (as Hamilton Khan might say), with bits and pieces of background information and the like about the books, both from an internal 'in-story' and external 'author's' perspective. If you don't know your out-locks from your in-locks (Thalassa: The World Beneath the Waves), or need an observer's guide to Pteronauts (Race the Red Horizon: the Flight of the Pteronaut), or fancy a sketchy refresher of Elboran geography (The Outlaws of Kratzenfels), it's the place to go. Feel free to take a peek.

Jason Pym Wow, this is great! Thalassa glossary, history of Elbora (I saw dwarfs mentioned - didn't realise they are going to be an actual thing). Fantastic, just not enough :)

You keeping the Brandyke Books site, or is it all shifting over to your personal one?

M. Jones Glad you like it. It's been fun to do, but like all these things, it feels very productive because the results pop up instantly - unlike writing a book - and I've sunk enough time into it for now. I'll add new stuff as I get it in dribs and drabs. The bit I enojoyed doing most was the world of the Pteronaut - gave my inner Pteronaut a tingle. Brandyke Books will get a makeover too when I get a minute or two, but I think it'll be just a shopwindow type thing.

And dwarves/dwarfs (my preference is for Tolkien's plural) - ya gotta have dwarves. The dwarvish diaspora will get a mention if/when I go back to Elbora.

Jason Pym Nah, it's gotta be dwarfs. You know, like elfs and fairys.

If you got back to Elbora? From what I've read so far, you have to!

M. Jones Thanks, glad to hear it's going down well so far...

I'd like to go back to Elbora, definitely, but just as with the Pteronaut it's not just down to the inclination: the ideas have to be right. There are some bubbling around, but right now I'm firmly in Thalassa mode (editing book 2, planning book 3) so it's hard to see anything else clearly. Fingers crossed, though.
