I’ll be at Worldcon 75 in beautiful (so they tell me!) Helsinki, Finland. Here’s where you can find me:
Aug 10 – Motivation Methods
Sometimes you need that extra push to keep writing/drawing/editing! What methods are being used? Pomodoro, Word Count, Public Reporting, etc?
Aug 11 – Are Boys Left Behind in YA
Many YA novels have strong female protagonists. Does this mean boys are forgotten completely? What do boys read these days?
Aug 13 – Writing Fight Scenes That Work
Getting fights scenes right can be difficult. From figuring out each character’s fighting style to choreographing the fight itself in your head there are many details to track. Our participants demonstrate the best way to make effective fight scenes.

I will be there too. And yes, Helsinki is a blast. If you are a fan of the bicycle you will be in Paradise.

And here I thought I'd gotten my fill of bicycles from living in The Netherlands for a year!
I am staying at the Scandic Grand Marina and by bus it is 40 minutes to WorldCon, by bike 15.
I think I'm at the same hotel. Guess I'd better figure out a bicycle rental quick.
There is the City Bike program. Go to the website day beforeyou leave , sign up for the week and there are these stands were you push the personal code in and you got a bike. My city leaders went to Helsinki and brought back the idea to do it here.
