
A painful past can be hard to forget. We hold on unconsciously waiting for the apology that we may never receive. At some point, we must make a decision to let go. Letting go doesn't mean that our pain doesn't count. Holding onto the pain won't make the pain go away. You do more damage to yourself by holding on to the pain. Holding onto the pain is like trying to choke a snake with the hand he's already biting. You have to realize at some point that you and your inner peace is worth more. Forgive them without the apology and just move on. Move on for you, not for them! The pain is holding you hostage and it's time to break free! You have the power to thrive despite your past. Learn from it...Embrace the good and the bad...But, Live in the Present!
