INTERLUDE PRESS AUTHORS RECEIVE THREE FOREWORD INDIES BOOK OF THE YEAR AWARDS

Interlude Press titles received three Foreword Reviews INDIES Book of the Year awards Saturday for romance, science fiction and LGBT fiction.


Luchador by Erin Finnegan was named the top novel in Romance fiction. Luchador, which was also named one of Publishers Weekly Best Books of 2016, is the coming of age story of a gay professional wrestler in Mexico City’s lucha libre circuit.


In the Present Tense by Carrie Pack, a story of time travel and rediscovering a lost love, received the Bronze award for Science Fiction.


Sweet by Alysia Constantine, a magical story of rediscovering love, received an Honorable Mention in the LGBT category. 


Interlude Press titles received a dozen finalist nominations in the annual literary  competition.


The awards, announced at the annual convention of the American Library Association, honor the best in independent publishing each year. More than 2,500 entries were submitted for consideration, according to Foreword.
