How Do I Write Tone?

Yikes.

When I started studying writing as an art form, nothing confused me more than, “Remember to keep the tone of your novel.”

What does that even mean, am I right?

Fortunately, I wrote an article about how to write tone into any scene and keep it consistent–dark, suspenseful, even romantic–even in simple scenes, like describing a garden.
