In light of the London Bridge terrorist attacks, retired General Amidror recently wrote that free western societies have a very difficult choice to make. Namely: “….what it values more: its privacy, in which case terrorist attacks the likes of which we witnessed (in London) will continue uninterrupted, or relinquishing a few rights in favor of decreasing the threat of terrorism. This will not be a simple decision to make.”
More pointedly, how can a free society simultaneously protect its citizens and meet the requirements of the Constitutional human rights for future terrorists?
These not “simple decisions” are at the heart of my new terrorist thriller, The Point of a Gun. Available on eBook starting June 24 with the print copy available for order July 13.
