BLACK HOOK Interviews Designer CHIP KIDD


 


The Art Director and Graphic Designer Chip Kidd recently sat down with the reporters over at the BLACK HOOK Japanese Culture Blog to discuss some of his current design work. Since the website comes from Japan their main focus was what is it like to work the Japanese Author, Haruki Murakami (The Strange Library & Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki And His Years of Pilgrimage) and Manga Artist, Gengoroh Tagame (The Passion of Gengoroh Tagame).


They also discuss Chip Kidd’s “Batman Book” on the Art of Jiro Kuwata titled, Bat-Manga: The Secret History of Batman in Japan. Plus, Chip also gets an opportunity to mention some future book projects in the works.
