Phoenix: A great read and a great cause

Hello, and welcome to new subscribers,

I have decided to break my own (new) rules, by positing my review of Phoenix by Mark Dawson here in the newsletter, as all proceeds go to helping fund breast cancer treatment for a friend of the author, and it’s a great read.

5* Phoenix – Beatrix Rose is an assassin, and in this novella we find that she has personal problems she can’t resolve. She takes an assignment in Venezuela, where she teams up with one of author, Mark Dawson’s, other heroes, John Milton. It’s a fast paced and exciting read. What should have been a simple mission suddenly becomes complicated, when the scientist they were supposed to bring back to the UK gets killed and a baby is found. I won’t say more, buy the book by clicking on the cover, and find out what happens. I promise you will enjoy it.

I hope those of you who have recently read Misplaced Loyalty enjoyed it. The second in the Meredith & Hodge series, Ill Conceived, will be reduced to 0.99 from June 10th through to June 17th. Click here to get to my Amazon page if you want to grab a bargain. While there, if you have enjoyed reading any of my novels,  it would be very much appreciated if you would be so kind as to leave a review. It doesn’t need to be anymore than a few words if you wish, but it does mean so much.

I’m still awaiting the arrival of my first grandchild, although I think it’s fair to say mum and dad are more frustrated at the late arrival than the grandparents. I’ve had lots to keep me busy; working on the latest WIP, and going through the final edits on Mistaken Beliefs. I’m delighted to say that the feedback coming in from the advanced reader team is all very positive. Phew! (If you would like to join my readers group, please leave a comment below).  I’ll keep you posted as to the release date on Mistaken Beliefs. I’ve also been catching up on writing reviews on my recent reads. My favourite book of the year so far hasn’t changed. Ice Cold Alice is still at number one. You can see what I’m reading and what I thought by clicking here.

That’s it for now, I’m off to vote and walk the dogs,

Happy reading,
