NEW SKINCARE STUFF I’VE TRIED.
Some cool products I tested.

These up here are just a few, actually.
As you know, lots of brands send me things to try out and if I like them, I either work on a sponsorship or I can get good deals for my subscription boxes.
This post is not sponsored, but I found some really great stuff I wanted to share with you!

The brand up here, with all the products coming out of my Gudetama backpack (which they didn’t send me, I already had it), is called Too Cool for School. I came across this brand years ago, when I was obsessed with Korean skincare and makeup.
At the time, they collaborated with Anke Weckmann for the illustrations in their packagings, which is why the brand stood out to me so much (fast forward a few years later, and I have a couple of tattoos drawn by her, for me).

Interesting how things develop!
Anyway. I like this brand very much, so I asked my team to reach out to possibly include some stuff into my subscription boxes.
They were super kind and sent over a ton of stuff, which I’m slowly trying on.

My personal favourite so far, is this handy blotting sheets set. It’s simple, but so smart!
Usually, when you get these sheets, you just pull them out – which is fine – but this has a mirror, so you can properly check on your makeup, and a cute sponge-like cushion, in which you can slide your fingers on one side, and on the other side, there is a sticky surface so that it picks up a new sheet, so that you don’t need to touch it.
I brought this with me when I was in Amsterdam, and it was super convenient.

Another brand I’ve been liking for quite some time, is Origins. I haven’t gotten anything in the past year or so, but then they sent me this White Tea line, and totally made me fall back in love.

This lotion, in particular, became the first step in my morning skincare routine.
I was drawn to try it out first because of the beautiful packaging, but the scent of the lotion is incredible. I can’t quite describe it, but for some reason it calms me down, as if it’s a familiar scent and by just putting some on a cotton pad, and rubbing it on my face, instantly makes me a bit happier.
I’m turning 25 this year, and although I’m not too concerned about wrinkles and ageing, the fact that it does say it prevents them, is definitely an added bonus.

Oh, and can we mention how generous of them was to gift me an Instax camera?!

Another product I really like is this moisturiser by Derma E. I’ve tried and included the scrub in my boxes before, so I was excited to try something else from them.
They asked if I was interested in using a product of my choice in a video, and I picked this one.
The first time I put it on I was so surprise of how buttery it feels, and although it doesn’t claim to have any smoothing agent, I feel like my makeup has been applying even better than usual.
I’m still a huge fan of the rose moisturiser by Fresh, that one is just as amazing, but because I ran out of it while I was in Amsterdam, this one arrived just at the right time.
I love the fact that there is Vitamin C in it; for some reason, as I stated in my latest video, when it comes to skincare, I always search for that, as well as Rose and Tea. I just think they all help with my acne, and they are gentle enough not to bother my skin.

And that brings me to this oil, which doesn’t have just one of my favourites ingredients, but two.
I can’t say I notice a difference to most oils that I apply during the night – I think most of the ones I’ve tried do a really good job – but I am very excited to be using this one right now because of its ingredients.
I figured it was worth a mention. I’ve never tried anything from Biossance before, but so far, I like it!

The final brand I’m gonna touch base on today, is Philosophy. Just like Origins, I used to buy from it all the time in the past, but kind of stopped because of all the stuff I receive. When I saw they sent me all of these things, some really stood out!

I like the minimal perfume bottle approach. Both scents smell really nice, but I found myself going back more often to the smaller one – not sure why!

A big favourite was the Amazing Grace body mousse. I am basically a kid when it comes to foam.
The instant I saw the consistency, I was sold. BUT. There is more. When you actually apply it to your skin, it makes a funny noise! Do you know those popping candy packets? It kind of sounds like that to me.
It’s just too fun to apply it, and at the same time it’s very moisturising and the products dries quickly, so you don’t feel sticky.
If you have this product, does yours make the same noise? I’m so curious if it’s just my bottle, or if it’s actually supposed to make that noise!

Finally, this mist is everything. I can’t stop spraying it to my face; it’s gotten out of control.
I snapped this photo when I first received it, and now I’m almost halfway through (I have had it for only a few weeks).
It smells really good, but the texture of the water – I know, I sound crazy – is so different. You can feel the moisture. It’s like, soft. Haha I don’t know.
Alright, I better go now! Just know that once I move back to my flat, I will be putting together some giveaways as I have so many products waiting for you.
