What initially got you interested in writing?

I’ve been writing all my life, mostly inside my head, but also on paper. I used to write poetry when I was a child.  Gabriel, one of Ahe'ey's main characters, has lived inside my head since the beginning of time; I was probably five or six when he became my best friend.
