New book in July!
The new Smoke Tree book should be finished in July. When I first started working on it, my goal was to have it done by March. But, as somebody once said, if you want to give the universe a good laugh, tell it you have plans! I discovered once again that life intrudes on writing.
In addition, just as I thought I was nearing completion, this novel suddenly began to move in a different direction than I had anticipated when I first began writing it.
But I'm not complaining! I think the change will make it a better novel. Those kinds of changes are what make writing such a joy for me.

Mark,I also put out a book each years and intend to continue to do that. Thank you for thinking of me as you form this group. Unfortunately, I would not be much help. I have no presence of any kind on social media. I know we're supposed to promote our books that way, but I don't want to do that. I'm kind of a private, low-profile guy.
I would, however, be glad to post a review or reviews for your books or write a review of one in advance of publication. In either case, you could post the review under "editorial reviews." That way, it would remain visible and not gradually disappear as others review your books.
Hi Gary,Thx for responding. I do appreciate that. I will gladly take you up on your review offer and make the same offer to you. Just let me know what you want and when your book is coming out. I would need to look at a few chapters or most of it to write a great review. Ron R.A. Chappell told me he enjoys your writing. Give some thought to joining us and others. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I don't plan on it costing us anything except a little time and goodwill. Think about it

PS I don't know how the editorial review thing works. I will check it out. Is it complicated?
ps Jeff Carson, Ron Chappell and myself are on board so far. I have also contacted Gelix Giordano, Patricia Mclinn, Chinle Miller and Rich Curtin. I am waiting to hear back from the others, I truly think we could all benefit from this. Someone came up with the idea of all of our characters put into one book, where we all write it together, sort of a superhero of the western genre. Good ideas will come and their will be many of them

Hello, Mark.As I explained earlier, I have no presence on social media. Nor do I intend to ever have one. I also have no web site for my books, nor do I attempt to compile email lists. I just write books and publish them on kindle and create space.
I also do not share my email address.
