Michele bookloverforever In the case of my son and I, I decided being poor and alive far outweighed being middle class and afraid all the time or dead. Yes, we were poor. but we were a lot safer on a day to day basis. Until my ex showed my son how easy it would be to kill me, make it look like an accident...and told my son he would do it unless my son went to live with him. I could not get a restraining order against my ex to protect my son without turning custody of my son over to the state. Take your children and run far, far away. Go underground if you have to.
