13 things people don’t realize you do because of your anxiety.


I don’t do all of these things, but I do a lot of them. It’s reassuring, in a weird way, to know that I’m not alone in these behaviors, and maybe it’ll be reassuring for some of you, too. If you don’t live with anxiety, but love someone who does, maybe this will help you understand the weird things we do.

Rebecca (booksandbreggs) While I have anxiety, I have become to embrace that as part of who I am. To constantly question my actions or reactions also adds to my anxiety. I pick and choose my battles, and have come to love my anxious, and introverted self. If I don't feel comfortable or have a "person" that I trust to have my back at a function, I don't go. It's ok to not feel comfortable at places with larger crowds because not all of us were made to be extroverts. Learn to trust yourself enough to be ok with who you are and don't let other people tell you that you're weird. Weirdness is awesome!

I do more of these things than not but I didn't even realize I did these things out of anxiety. I thought it was just personality and focus, lol. :)
