Pictures of my kids, a couple cases of books, a couple cases of wine, my yoga mat, my lavender eye pillow and my calendar/journal.

Wouldn't a heater just melt you out of a shelter? LOL I might opt for my feather down comforter, a stack of really good books (and I mean no less then fifty), a photo album of my kids, one of my daughter's stuffed animals, matches, a flashlight, extra batteries, a cd player with my cd's, lots of chap-stick, lotion, tissues, tp, a pair of really good winter hiking boots, bottled water,cheddar cheese and chicken in a biscuit crackers! :) I will stop there because I'm sure I could think of a million other things to bring. :)
Holli - are you sure you haven't camped in the Arctic before? ;)
:) My survivor instincts (or comfort instincts rather), kick in overdrive I suppose, because I live in Texas near the gulf. We get hammered with so many storms. I've had to work around not having electricity entirely too many times! :)
