Tell Shame You Have a Savior

Shame paid us a visit on Tuesday.

He was not an invited guest. The sneaky stinker walked right through our front door like he owned the place.

As he mouthed off brazen accusations, my soul shattered into a million pieces of sorrow.

Ironically, just hours before Shame crashed my party, I’d authored an article titled “5 Decisive Moves to Defeat Discouragement.”

To evict the vile villain, this Warrior Princess reached for her sword. I slashed away at shame with the sharp edge of Truth.

6 Sharp Truths to Shatter Shame
You have a Protector

God is a sheltering stronghold where you can stand safely.

“Be my protector and refuge, a stronghold where I can be safe! For you are my high ridge and my stronghold” (Psalm 71:3, NET).

You are already Rescued

God has unshackled you from sin and shame.

“Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man” (Psalm 71: 4, ESV).

Your God will never forsake You

God will honor His promises. He never abandons the helpless and hurting.

“All day long I’ll praise and honor You, O God, for all that you have done for me” (Psalm 71:8, TLB).

Your Salvation is Secure

God has covered you with grace and set you free from condemnation.

“I will tell about your justice, and all day long proclaim your salvation, though I cannot fathom its full extent” (Psalm 71:15, NET).

You are a Display Case for God’s Glory

Open your mouth and declare you are delivered. Watch shame disappear as you worship.

“O God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous works and miraculous deeds” (Psalm 71: 17, AMP).

You are Fully Restored

God has renewed your life and clothed you in His righteousness.

“You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth” (Psalm 71: 20, NLT).
