After retiring from active criminal investigation and a decades-long police career, I have been raising my children alone and working a second, but different investigative career. I miss all my blue brothers and sisters and Harry has been a great 'throwback' if ever I missed the work. Looking forward to Detective Ballard and how much she will remind me of the replacements. Technical accuracy and great characters. Love it! Keep it up and if you ever need an east coast LE technical advisor please feel free to look me up!

Just read the excerpt, and it feels like I've met a new friend. I already like her and can feel her commitment to the mission. Can't wait for the book to be released!
A few months ago I retired from the Chicago Police Dept. after a thirty year career. Seventeen of those were as a homicide detective. I have been a fan of James Patterson's Alex Cross novels as well as Connelly's Harry Bosch novels. After reading an excerpt of The Late Show, I'm looking forward to following a new detective character on the scene.
