Audio Book V.1

Hi,

So it looks like my last post was a bit premature.

The word I had received was from the cover editor, who re-layed out the cover for the new format.

Obviously, that was an unofficial date they were targeting and did not pan out.

Nargh.

The audio book is being done traditionally, e.g. Tantor bought the rights and has all the tasks to publish it in audio format. So, I'm just a spectator like everyone else.

I could only imagine how this must be 100x worse for authors traditionally publishing a hardback/paperback.

Being self-published, I have complete control, and complete responsibility for any screw ups. Which I am sure has ups and downs.

But I'm thinking (except for really big authors) the self-published model would be more emotionally satisfying for a set of people acusstomed to being "gods of their own universe" who are used to "dictating reality"

I.e. Control Freaks.
