Today a 105-year old woman told me that the key to happiness is having a peaceful heart. I agree...yet sometimes my heart's choices are entirely opposite what my mind thinks I should be doing.
For example, my mind tells me I should live in the city because it'd be better for my career...but my heart wants the country. My heart wants slow walks in the woods, magical evenings playing music with friends until the stars come out, the purple glow on the mountains when the sun sets, kayaking on the river. In addition to the simple beauty, it's the sensuality of the country lifestyle that speaks to my heart.
I'm connected to what matters to me.
When I first moved to the country, everyone thought I was crazy...but that's the nature of a creative life.
Creativity comes from the Divine and the Divine always brings surprise.
