Strange Anomaly

Never imagined what I'd see,
Wandering across the land,
Wonder and strange anomaly,
I rolled down dunes of sand.

Crossed green valleys, open and free,
Atop the mountains grand,
You never will believe,
In the dark I outstretched my hand,
I did not fear that I could not breathe.

On clouds of love where I could stand,
I did not feel, for I could not see,
Nobody beside me did stand,
As I walked across the sea,
Even sweetness became stale and bland.

I came to realize what I did need,
Only your kiss could set me free.
Only you to take my hand,
But now you seem a distant dream,
Like wonder and strange anomaly.
