Oh man, I am terrible at keeping secrets, especially book news secrets, but I’m finally able to share that there will be more books taking place in the Lux World!
Yes.
Luc– you remember Luc, right? One badass Origin who everyone, and I mean everyone, is wary of? Well, Luc is all grown up and he’s getting a trilogy of his own.
Here is the amazing announcement in Children’s Bookshelf
“Melissa Frain at Tor Teen has acquired a YA sci-fi trilogy by bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout, as yet untitled, set in the world of her Lux series. Four years after a devastating war between humans and aliens, a teen girl is swept up in the alien resistance and in the process falls in love and discovers the dark secrets of her past. Publication for the first book is set for fall 2018; Kevan Lyon at Marsal Lyon Literary Agency brokered the six-figure, three-book deal for world English rights.”
And here is the announcement in Publisher’s Marketplace
“NYT bestselling author Jennifer Armentrout’s trilogy, set in the world of her Lux series, four years after a devastating war between humans and aliens in which a teen girl gets swept up into the alien resistance led by a gorgeous not quite human boy, while discovering the dark secrets of her own past, to Melissa Frain at Tor Teen, in a significant deal, for publication in Fall 2018, by Kevan Lyon at Marsal Lyon Literary Agency (World English).
Foreign: Taryn Fagerness Agency”
I am super excited to be working with Tor on this new series. After about fifteen minutes of speaking to Melissa on the phone, I was absolutely smitten with her and the amazing team at Tor.

Writing this story was kind of like coming home. It had been a long time since I left the Lux World, saying goodbye to Daemon and Kat and crew. I always had this idea, ever since 2015, but I knew I needed to give it time before I delved back in.

I cannot wait for you guys to meet Evie, Heidi, Emery, Kent, Grayson, and of course, getting reacquainted with Luc…. and some old, familiar faces.
