What I Wouldn’t Give
I am a leopardwith a thousand spots,freckles and dots,skin pockedwith damage from the sun.The sun we thrive and play beneath,each and every one.
Curse of the fair-skinnedyou could say,but it was alwaysreckless play,watery sunblock ornone at all,running in the sun all day.
Each spot a story,a tattoo of the glory:water parks, beaches,soccer games, hikes;each cluster a star mapof things I didright.
Perhaps I could have beenBeautywith milky, fine skin,and no one would’ve knownthe...
