Authors/Readers: Join me for Operation Get Up and Move!

Happy Sunday, peeps!

Hope you're all enjoying a nice weekend.

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook then there's a very good chance you've seen me tweet or post about my P90X workouts at least once over the past three months.

If not, here's the skinny:  I've been thin my entire life, but mushy, soft and completely out of shape cardio and strength wise. Heart disease runs rampant in my family as well as issues with blood pressure, anxiety etc.

I'm a couch potato. Scratch that. I was a couch potato.

As an author I spend a good portion of each morning on my butt in my chair writing. I'm not fond of sweating ( I'm a girlie girl) and I like my Diet Coke.

Three months ago I got a wild hair up my ass about exercising. Not sure what the catalyst was. I just finally decided I was unhappy getting winded as I climbed my stairs, and I wanted to do something that would relieve my daily battle against anxiety.

Insert P90X.

With three daughters who cheer, and various other expenses, my hubby and I don't have the money to purchase a gym membership. The P90X program was perfect because I could work out at home, not spend a ton of money and no one would have to see me make a fool of myself.

Oh, let me tell you...in the beginning...I was pathetic. In fact, I think I threw my body into shock the first day. But, after about a week, it wasn't so bad, and I eventually formed a habit I refuse to break.

I've lost a few pounds, several inches, and my anxiety has all but disappeared! Woot! I'm starting up a new round on September 5th and my challenge is this: get up off the couch and move with me! I don't care what you do.

Walk.

Run (not my personal fav, but it's great)

Do your own workout... doesn't matter what it is, just move.

I"m starting up a new 90 day regimen on September 6th and encourage you to join me! I created a workout blog at the beginning of my journey and have been posting there regularly. Join me! Chat with me about what you're doing. We're coming into the holiday season where delicious foods and parties are a plenty. Let's keep each other motivated and on track! Are you with me?

The link to my workout blog is posted on the right hand side of this blog near the top. I've also created a Facebook group for those who'd like to post and chat more frequently about their progress/journey/struggles etc. Message me if you'd like to join. Hope to see you there!!!!
