Ignoring the hate from your brave anons, what are your thoughts on pussy hats being transphobic?

I just heard someone present that idea for the first time a couple days ago, and I’m not sure I understand the idea behind it 100%.

I don’t claim any special insight or understanding, I’m cis and straight and white and like a lot of people like that, sometimes I can miss something problematic even if it’s staring me right in the face. 

Is the idea that it equates being a woman with having a vagina? My understanding with the hats was that the ‘pussy’ part was always playing a word game, that they were meant to look more like cat ears, hence the ‘pussy,’ or at least I have heard that many times.

I am happy to hear if I am missing your point. This stuff is important, I would never want to deliberately heap any more crap on trans folk, there’s more than enough people doing that already.
