Book 3. What happened, 20 years ago!

“Vance came out of Texas, looking for allies, looking for Altered allies. He found Rafe. They were making plans to divide and conquer, probably before we were born. The problem was, most of those who gathered were Altered. The Altered were trained to be adversaries, to gravitate away from each other. Rafe was a Sixth, that made him different, and Vance couldn’t break away, no matter what he wanted.”
