My newest book
My problem is that, as an author who writes historical fiction. I have a situation I would like to write about, but it in itself is terribly depressing. My problem is how to make it not so depressing by inserting fictional characters who are not depressing but interesting.

AS an author of historical fiction, I have a topic I want to write about, that I think is of importance, but is depressing. Do I interject interesting fictional situations so that it isn't so depressing. I'm afraid of ruining the impact of the real story.
