Terror in London

I was horrified to learn of the terrorist attack in London today. My heart goes out to the victims and their families; ironically, it occurred on the anniversary of a terrible terrorist attack on the citizens of Brussels. There are people in our world who are truly evil. Please pray for the dead and wounded in London and for us all.

Iset I for one am not cowed. Britain is a country of moderation and common sense. This attack was idiocy. They attempted to spread fear, but they fear us, and anyone with the intelligence and ethical reasoning to question.

Sharon I did not have your e-mail address, Iset, or I'd have contacted you personally, for I think of you as one of my British friends.

message 3: by Iset (new)

Iset I am very flattered by that, Sharon, especially since I feel I do not support you as much as I should do - participating on your website, contributing to discussions and so forth - and not enough time to get involved as much as I would wish.

Sharon I don't either, Iset--participate on my blog or Facebook pages, I mean. I've been dealing more my usual back pain and have not had as much time as I'd like for such activities.
When you get a chance, though, I'd love to hear more about your own writing. You can use the Contact Sharon feature on my blog to reach me directly.

RJay S-
Agreed, the attacks on innocents, no matter where they reside, is unconscionable. Religion continues to be the single most important factor in wars throughout history. Sad, that the love of "God" has created such a condition.

May Sharon, hoping you find a measure of relief from that back pain. There is little worse than chronic pain to suck the joy out of your day...

message 7: by Leila (new)

Leila I heard the terrible news of the cowardly attack on my way home from shopping. I live in the North East of England but my heart went out to the young policeman, just doing his duty, others who died and the awfully injured people just going about their daily affairs as I was. I have very recently lost my adopted brother very suddenly, in fact overnight and I couldn't help thinking now of those people at home too, whose loved ones will not be going back home. to them. Why are the innocent targeted so wickedly? Yes sadly, religion and the fears it engenders has always been at the root of such vicious and cowardly attacks. No one is safe from these murdering mindless maniacs! Will there ever be peace in our time? I doubt it! Thank you Sharon for your empathy.
