2017 Goal - To Read and Re-Read
Okay, so here it is. For while I've been wanting to finally go through my To-Read shelf (my real bookshelf, not digital one) and actually read these books I've have for at least a year, probably longer. Anyway, to add to this goal, I also want to go through all my books I have read (at least those currently on my shelf, anymore and that would be a ton I'm sure).
There are different reasons we keep books. We keep the ones we absolutely love (First Class section on the high shelf), the ones that gave a special message or heartwarming sentiment, the ones that had that best mystery we must read again to see what clues were hidden in plain sight, and then there are the ones we keep as trophies - proof we actually made it to the last page th---- okay, okay I'm rambling now.
Here is my goal for 2017: To re-read the books on my shelf, write a review of what I loved about it in the first place and what 'insight' I gained from reading it again AND to read the To-Read books collecting dust. (Actually, I just put a larger bookshelf in my room and dusted all the books, but you get the gist.)
My plan is to alternate between books I've read and the books I haven't. Since I just bought By Your Side by Kasie West I will start with that one (and I don't want to wait any longer to read it, I love reading her books!) and post the review on my Goodreads Blog.
Book 1 of Challenge
[Synopsis From GoodReads Page]
When Autumn Collins finds herself accidentally locked in the library for an entire weekend, she doesn’t think things could get any worse. But that’s before she realizes that Dax Miller is locked in with her. Autumn doesn’t know much about Dax except that he’s trouble. Between the rumors about the fight he was in (and that brief stint in juvie that followed it) and his reputation as a loner, he’s not exactly the ideal person to be stuck with. Still, she just keeps reminding herself that it is only a matter of time before Jeff, her almost-boyfriend, realizes he left her in the library and comes to rescue her.
Only he doesn’t come. No one does.
Instead it becomes clear that Autumn is going to have to spend the next couple of days living off vending-machine food and making conversation with a boy who clearly wants nothing to do with her. Except there is more to Dax than meets the eye. As he and Autumn first grudgingly, and then not so grudgingly, open up to each other, Autumn is struck by their surprising connection. But can their feelings for each other survive once the weekend is over and Autumn’s old life, and old love interest, threaten to pull her from Dax’s side?
