Billboard-size Pizza and Why Wisconsin for the MacGregors?
A question I get asked a lot is, “How do I choose the location for my stories?”
When it came time to scout locations for a contemporary romance—the Warlocks MacGregors series. I was adamant that I wanted somewhere that small town America was represented. Wisconsin was the perfect place. But it was a close call between the cheese state and a location in the south.
Having grown up in the heartland myself I knew how connected people can be to the land.
And then of course there’s my fondness for all things cheese, which brings me to fun facts about Malina, who happens to be the heroine in “Cauldrons and Confessions” the next MacGregor’s book, coming soon.
One of Malina’s gifts is that she is able to materialize objects from their pictures. Enter the MacGregor males, I was going to say men, but I’ll let you decide for yourself. So, boys being boys, her brothers and cousins stole a bunch of billboards so she could materialize giant pizzas for them. Rory also took a billboard with a picture of a 6-foot boxer puppy on it, and is currently pestering Malina to make him a friend.
Oh well, it’s back to writing. Wish me luck. And if you haven’t read the series, “Love Potions” book 1 is reduced to 99 cents for a limited time.
Happy reading,
Michelle
