Human Brain Computers? Coming Soon from IBM

The human brain has 80-100 billion neurons and approximately 100 trillion synapses. Kudos to IBM for pushing the boundaries of AI (see below)! But we still have a way to go before the digital human brain equates to the flesh-and-blood human brain.

IBM announces experimental cognitive chips that emulate the human brain's ability to sense, perceive, & interact. Each brain-like "unit" has 256 neurons, "an array of 256 by 256 (or a total of 262,144) synapses, and 256 axons."
