Took a Break

Last night, my copy of Beastly was ready for me at the library so I took a break and watched it. I'd had a pounding sinus headache that caused me to cry all day...okay, back up, the sinuses were doing a number on my tear ducts and so I was swiping away tears all day. I kept telling my coworkers to quit making me cry. :) They'd look serious for a all of a second, then I'd smile and wipe away new tears.

But earlier that morning before work, we'd had no water pressure where I live, and I was thinking someone is watering when they're not supposed to!!! Only Monday and Thursday are the watering nights. And only real vampires would be wandering around in the dark watering that late, because they can see, you see.

So I get home from work after crying all day and see water in my flood culvert. At first I thought, ohmigosh, it rained!!! Then I thought, no way. Which meant bad news. I couldn't have left a hose on since Monday night (pretend you didn't hear that I was a vampire then, roaming around in the dark watering plants), but why in the world would the water all be in the ditch?

I checked all my hoses. None were on. I tried calling the water dept. Of course they were closed. I called my neighbor. He said he started checking his faucets, then mine, then he went to the neighbors on the other side of me. There are only 3 of us and then it's all cornfields until the next house.

Sure enough, thank goodness, the guy next door's pipe had broken and his yard was flooded. Okay, now the really bad part is we're on water restrictions. And so where does all the water go? In the stupid culvert.

*sigh* If only it could have been diverted to my trees and shrubs and jasmine ground cover.

I enjoyed Beastly, a new version of The Beauty and the Beast. I liked the idea that the ugly part of the inside of the boy was brought out on the outside of him and he had to find a way to show he cared about someone, to quit being so self-centered and downright mean.

And I only cried once...at least for real. The other tears were still all due to the sinus problems!

Anyway, it was a cute story, after having watched some real dogs--see why my wolves don't appreciate being called dogs?

Hope you have a super great Thursday! I took an antihistamine last night, dried up the tears, water pressure is back to normal, and the only problem is that I have to work the vampire shift tonight. Otherwise, it's Thursday! And the best part is that tomorrow is Friday!!!

Oh, and Amazon has A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing posted on Amazon! Woohoo! I haven't seen the cover yet. Can't wait!

:) And the next weekend we have a 3-day weekend! Woohoo!
