Should I Be Upset?

I've gotten a few emails from fans about this. You can't copyright an idea – but does this come too close to copying the execution? I wonder what my artist, Nathalia Suellen, would think? What do you think?

Cathy Wow, when I first looked at that I thought I was looking at the cover of Spiderwork. It took me a few seconds to realize it was a different book cover. That is a total rip-off of the beautiful artwork on your novel. It was very striking and I think I even mentioned how lovely it was in my review here on GoodReads.
Isn't the cover art covered under the book's copyright? If it isn't it should be.

L.K. Rigel It is copyrighted. Not only that, I heard from Nathalia, the artist. HC tried to buy it from her, and she refused! I have a bad feeling about this ...

Cathy Amazon shows the book for pre-order with no cover image. It's not due out until Feb. 2012. Maybe this isn't the final cover art. Anyway, time for Nathalia to look into the matter.
