After getting some feedback from writer friends, I've rewritten my book description. Tell me what you think.
Jenna and Morgan are connected by blood but separated by time.
When Jenna’s fiancé breaks their engagement, her mother dies, and she’s fired from her job all in the same week, her life is shattered. Not knowing what else to do, she goes home to rebuild her life. Yet she is haunted by self-recrimination, unexplainable new abilities, and rumors that she was fired because she embezzled money. Heart sick, she escapes into packing up her mother’s things.
It seems an invisible force is guiding her, however, as she finds her three-times great-grandmother’s journals. Upon opening the first book, she embarks on a remarkable journey as her consciousness merges with Morgan’s. Though she is afraid she will get stuck in 1859, living life with Morgan from time to time is too compelling an opportunity for Jenna to pass up. She soon understands that it may just help her build the life she has always wanted.
